How useful is the green variable aiming beam compared to the usual red light?
‘The green aiming beam is significantly more helpful, especially when working in difficult or awkward areas like the inner thigh. We use the Leonardo Laser more often for sarcoids and melanomas than for airway surgeries, and in these cases, the green beam provides a clear contrast against surrounding tissue.
Even without much bleeding, there’s usually some ooze, and the green beam remains visible – making it far easier to see exactly where the laser is aimed.’

The latest innovation at MED Equus is the addition of a 3-month use laser fibre to join the existing 10-hour use laser fibre.
The 3-month use fibre is optimal for skin mass removal, whereas the 10-hour fibre is optimal for laryngeal and uterine surgery.
The ability to safely and easily switch between presets means that anyone on the surgical team can use the laser confidently, knowing that the selected setting limits the power appropriately. This enhances both safety and consistency during procedures.
